AI Transparency Days 2026

A three-day, hackathon-style event bringing together roughly 50 participants for focused, hands-on work toward transparent and safe AI.

Where the AI Transparency Conference is about presenting finished research, the Transparency Days are about building: working sessions, experiments, and collaboration in small groups. Teams work toward a final showing, and there will be prizes for the winning teams.

What to expect

A small, working-format event — capacity is limited to around 50 people.

Build

Hands-on sessions

Three days of practical work rather than presentations — experiments, prototypes, and tooling built together in small groups.

Collaborate

Small by design

Keeping the group to roughly 50 participants means everyone gets to contribute, and conversations continue across the full three days.

Share

Open outcomes

In keeping with our commitment to transparency, results and materials from the working sessions are shared openly wherever possible.

Prizes for the winning teams

Teams present their results at the end of the three days, and the winning teams receive prizes. Judging criteria and the prizes themselves will be announced closer to the event.

The 2025 edition

AI Transparency Days first ran on October 17–19, 2025 as a three-day community event with focused working sessions, talks, and hands-on hacking. It was organised around two tracks — AI Governance & AI Control, and Mechanistic Interpretability, the latter using tools such as NNsight and the eDIF cluster.

The tracks and programme for 2026 are still being put together.
